Tell us about one thing you are working on?

I'm currently working on taking more time for myself and prioritizing my health both mental and physical. Running a small business, it's really easy to get caught up in working long hours and working on weekends, but I realized that I eventually stopped doing the things that gave me energy like eating healthy, cooking at home, and exercising and I really want to focus on integrating these things back into my life.

How has time spent inside during quarantine changed you as a person? Do you feel these changes would have happened without quarantine?

Quarantine has made me realize that it's okay to do nothing! So many people were left without jobs and struggling to pay bills. I'm so grateful I was able to keep my business running, but I felt like I had to be on all the time, feeling like I had to work extra hard because I still had income. I never would have realized this without the pandemic, because I was stuck in the rat race of "Go, go, go". But not being able to do the things I used to do allowed me to recognize I need to slow down.

What’s something underrated that you feel needs more recognition by society?

Something underrated is saying "No". Especially for women, "The Hustle" is so glorified and people often talk about how many times they've burnt out as if it was an achievement.

Quarantine helped us spend more time with ourselves, what makes you feel beautiful during COVID times?

What makes me feel beautiful is not having to show up for anyone but myself. During quarantine, I'll admit I went a day or two longer than I should have without a shower, I stayed in PJs all day, and I had to plan out when I'd actually put on makeup. It was so nice being able to show up as I felt that morning, and not have to worry about what other people would think.

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty to me, means showing up as yourself and not worrying about what society or anyone else thinks.

If there was one thing (product, place or person) that you could not live without, what would it be? Why?

I couldn't live without my Frenchie, Vincent Francis! He comes to the office with me everyday, and whenever I'm having a crappy day, he's always there for cuddles and follows me everywhere. He also has a HUGE personality which is always entertaining.
