We interviewed a series of impact heroes and humans we vibe with and asked them about their lives during quarantine! We dug into beauty means to them and what they learned from this crazy year. They are some of the dopest people you’d ever meet and we think you should meet them too!
What is your name?
Simrit Rana
What do you do?
student, vp fundraiser, secretary, friend
What are your social media handles?
ig: @_simrit_r
Tell us about one thing you are working on?
I'm learning to love self care, I'm working on meditating when I feel stressed and writing in a journal more often. I'm very dedicated to work hard in uni and end the year off right!
How has time spent inside during quarantine changed you as a person? Do you feel these changes would have happened without quarantine?
I've given myself more time to breathe, and time off to read books, etc. I've also enjoyed nature a lot more and spent a lot of time with my family outside. Without quarantine, I would've paid less attention to these priorities in my life.
What’s something underrated that you feel needs more recognition by society?
Normalizing imperfect bodies!
Quarantine helped us spend more time with ourselves, what makes you feel beautiful during COVID times?
Baths, face masks, self care rituals.
What does beauty mean to you?
Feeling confident in whatever you choose to wear or style on any particular day.
If there was one thing (product, place or person) that you could not live without, what would it be? Why?
I'd have to say my family (even though not technically one person) because they help me through the most challenging times, especially my mother. In terms of a product, it'd have to be my clinique moisturizer.
